Description: ABS was introduced to the market in 1948. ABS is manufactured by co-polymerizing acrylonitrile and styrene in the presence of polybutadiene [latex rubber]. Acrylonitrile contributes strength and chemical resistance. Butadiene results in higher impact strength and Styrene contributes to high gloss and good processing properties.
