Description: Acetal is the most crystalline of all engineering plastics. Acetal is very hard and easily machined. Denoted as POM. Two variants homo-polymer invented by DuPont 1958 and copolymer invented by Celanese in 1960.

Properties:
• High hardness and stiffness
• Low co-efficient of friction
• Excellent creep resistance and dimensional stability
• Very high mechanical properties
• Excellent di-electrical properties

Classes:
• H Homo-polymer – better mechanical properties
• C Co-polymer – better resistance to hot water
• Both classes are similar in respect of Price and Processing
